Cryptic Seconds

Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Cryptic Seconds Discord bot ("the bot"), a project of Serindor ("we", "us"). By adding the bot to a server or using its commands, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the bot.

Using the bot

Fair play

Cryptic Seconds is meant to be fun for everyone. You agree not to:

We may correct or reset scores, streaks or leaderboards affected by cheating or technical problems.

Puzzle content

The bot, its design and its original content belong to Serindor. Where clues or puzzle content come from third parties, those rights remain with their owners. You may share screenshots and results of your games, but you may not copy the bot's puzzle content in bulk or republish it elsewhere.

Availability

We work to keep the bot running smoothly, but it is provided "as is" and we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or that a daily puzzle will always post on time. We may change, pause or retire features, or the bot itself, at any time.

Paid features

The bot is currently free. If we introduce paid features, they will come with their own terms, which will be shown to you before you buy anything.

Ending access

You can stop using the bot at any time, and server admins can remove it whenever they like. We may restrict or end anyone's access to the bot if they break these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost data (such as streaks) or problems caused by Discord or other services outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UK consumer law, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

Your data

How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the bot after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
